Life happens and our needs change. What doesn't change is our desire to have a place to call home. Home is not just a building, but a concept of familiarity and comfort. The desire and need for home doesn't diminish with age, if anything it becomes more important and certainly deserved.
At The Glen Retirement System, we aim to provide a gentle transition for those who choose to move to one of our communities. The environment you will find at The Glen is one that is rich in tradition, progressive in theory, acclaimed in satisfaction, and most importantly... feels like home.
Renovations at the Glen
We began extensive renovations to our community beginning in the Summer of 2008 and we are steps away from completion.
The concept of “Culture Change” and household style living is well into play. The exteriors are impressive, but the stories inside these walls are breathtaking.
As always, it is not about what we do, but rather why we do it. Our renovation plans were intended to change the environment in which our long-term care residents live. We are now able to provide a setting that rejects the age old concept of institutionalization and to the contrary, fosters a nurturing home-like environment that our elders deserve.
