Village Health Care at The Glen Receives Bronze LevelLouisiana Nursing Home Quality Award
Shreveport, Louisiana -- Village Health Care at The Glen was recognized for receiving the Bronze 2008 Louisiana Nursing Home Quality Award, presented by Louisiana Health Care Review, Inc. (LHCR), the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Louisiana. The award was announced at the second annual Louisiana Health Care Quality Summit hosted by (LHCR) in Baton Rouge in May. With this award, Village Health Care at The Glen has been recognized for their innovative ideas that has lead to superior care through quality improvement activities.
The Louisiana Nursing Home Quality Award recognizes Louisiana nursing homes that are performing quality initiatives aimed at improving resident care in the nursing home setting. This is the second year these awards have been presented at the Summit. The Bronze Awards were given to nursing homes based on innovations that demonstrated improved resident outcomes or improved processes through innovation in care and where their regulatory history would not exclude them.
