Eighty-First Street ECE Center Visits The Glen
On Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 10:00 a.m., The Easter Bunny visited The Glen Retirement System and greeted 175 children from the Kindergarten & Early Childhood Education classes from Eighty-First Street Early Childhood Education Center. Easter cookies and juice were served and each child received an Easter basket with activities and candy before heading out to hunt eggs on the front lawn of The Glen. Residents and children alike were entertained by singing and dancing. It was a wonderful event for all who attended.
This annual celebration has been part of The Glen’s Community Outreach Program for five years. This is the second year that The Glen Retirement System has been awarded a grant by the Jess Merkle Foundation to help fund the event.
